Sea of Thieves won't launch saying "Looks Like You Need to Renew GOLD" But My GOLD...

I also cannot launch Sea of Thieves. It tells me that I need to "renew gold" which is absolutely preposterous, considering 1) I own the game, and 2) I have an active subscription to GamePass Ultimate, and 3) to my knowledge "gold" does not exist anymore.

Thank you for the help, sadly those solutions didn't fix it. I'm playing on pc and I deleted the game to do a fresh install to see if that works. Kind of a drastic measure but i got nothing be time at the moment lol.

Im going to list a few things and hope one is the solution.

1, have you checked that you are signed into the correct account.

2, are you playing the game from a game pass subscriptions or do you own the game? could you check that the subscription is still running!

3, could you please restart the console and try the game again.

Sea of thieves requires gold and game pass, unless you purchase sea of thieves, then you only need gold.

Gold does still exist. It's required to play online on any paid game, but it is no longer needed for free-to-play games. However, you are correct that if you still gave an active Ultimate subscription, you do still have Gold.
