    I’ve been using Sea Of Thieves on my Xbox One console for a while now. I just installed it on my laptop now as I have an Ultimate Gamepass subscription. (The console and PC are the two devices associated with my account). The problem is that when the game
    is installed on the PC, it starts automatically with my dad’s profile and can’t be switched to mine. This is probably because I am a family member assigned to my dad’s account. How do I set up my profile on my PC?

    Unable to Join Game or Accept Invites on Sea of Thieves after installing Steam version

    After uninstalling and reinstalling Sea of Thieves and the Xbox Game Bar many times, I am able to invite and accept invites on Sea of Thieves Insider through the Game Bar. I am able to send invites from the Game Bar for Sea of Thieves. However, when I receive an invite or try to join in on Sea of Thieves, I still have the same problem. Sea of Thieves and Sea of Thieves Insider are two different builds. There must be a file somewhere on my computer that is not being deleted or uninstalled and it's not allowing me to accept these invites on just Sea of Thieves. I don't know how to find this file.

    Are you able to sign out of your dads profile in the console companion app? If you sign into your account on the console companion app it should work.

    Step by step using game bar

    1. press "windows key and 'g' key" to bring up xbox game bar, or laucnch the app by searching "xbox game bar" next to start.
    2. click on the gear icon
    3. select accounts (on left side of setting pop-up)
    4. select sign out next you current account
    5. repeat steps 1-3 then click sign in
    6. sign in with the desired account and your good to go

    Sea of Thieves Insider is not related to the xbox Insider. Just go to the sea of thieves website to register for the Insider program.
