    Sea of thieves avocadobeard problem(Steam version)


    Got Sea Of Thieves a few days back on steam, installed, and i keep getting the avocadobeard problem. I cannot access my xbox profile seetings for some reason on portuguese xbox and i cannot access it in english. My xbox account is linked to steam, but
    i cannot access the game on xbox app. Tried almost every solution, but i either couldn't access them or they didn't work.

    Thank you for the information. In that case, if you're having the problem with the Steam version of the game I would suggest either posting to the Steam Forums or Steam or Sea of Thieves Support.

    I no longer have Steam on my computer and I got a refund for Sea of Thieves from Steam so it's not even in my Library. I also uninstalled the Steam version of Sea of Thieves from my computer.

    I don't have Steam anymore. When I posted my initial question, I stated that I had the Steam version but after having the problem, I got refunded for the Steam version of Sea of Thieves and proceeded to uninstall the Sea of Thieves version and I also uninstalled Steam. I have uninstalled the Microsoft version of Sea of Thieves twice and have reinstalled it twice. I have completely uninstalled the Xbox Game Bar with Powershell and then I reinstalled it. The game bar connects to the Xbox Live servers and I receive the invites through the Game Bar but it doesn't trigger the game to start when I click ACCEPT. Just to reiterate, Steam is no longer on my computer.

    Why does the Xbox app insist on installing multiple installations of games on my C drive without my permission?

    Sea of thieves decided to uninstall itself for some reason over night, making it so that I cant play Sea of Thieves today due to the long download time.

    If I buy Sea of Thieves on Steam, can I play with the same account as on the xbox app version? That way I wont need to deal with the Xbox app or its version of Sea of Thieves.

    You may be correct, Krystian. I found a helpful article from Sea of Thieves Support:

    "When purchasing Bundles and Ancient Coin packs for Sea of Thieves, it is important that you purchase through the correct store for the platform in which you are playing. Otherwise you may not receive the items in which you have purchased!

    So this means that if you are playing on the Steam version of Sea of Thieves, then you must purchase your content through the Steam store. And likewise, if you are using the Microsoft Store or Xbox version of Sea of thieves, then you must purchase your content through the Microsoft Store."
