Screen Time & Game Limits - getting reset every week

Every week, I get the an email from Microsoft that goes something like:

[table][tr][td]Hi Xxxxx,[/td][/tr][tr][td]Here are last week's highlights.[/td][/tr][tr][td]To see Xxxx's full report, go to account.microsoft.com/family.[/td][/tr][/table]

When I access the web portal, I find that the screen time limits keep getting reset (as in the slider is in the OFF position). I go about enabling the feature, then exit the web page. Just to make sure that the setting sticks, I immediate log back into the
portal and confirm that the setting has stuck. However, without fail, by the time my next weekly report comes around - the setting gets reset. To note - my decisions for allowing/blocking screen time on a per day basis are correctly registered once I turn
the master switch back on.

Similar experience when I use the "Game Limits" feature. Master switch gets reset every week; but individual allocation of time limits for games and applications is saved.

Is this:

a bug,

or a user error (I don't see a "SAVE" button anywhere),

or indication that someone is tampering with my settings ?

It would be awesome if there were a feature to send an email to the parent everytime the Screen Time and/or Game Limits master switch was toggled (especially disabled). This would allow the parent to understand if the account is being tampered with by someone.

Akin to security alerts coming from banks, credit card companies etc. when passwords, contact information etc. changes. "If you made this change, then we are all set and ignore this email".

How do feature requests get bubbled up to the Microsoft / Windows developer community ?

I know this is brand new on the app side and I have noticed a couple of mine don't seem to "stick". I have used the Feedback popup at the bottom of the screen in hopes that it goes to the right place. Overall my screen time settings in the main area
have been rock solid but it is the individual piece in "preview" that I think they are still tweaking.

Yes, we’re having the same problem! The parental controls appear to be a great feature, but only if they actually work. If microsoft can’t fix them it’ll be back to having an argument every time we want our son to quit Fortnite (sigh).

activity doesn't show up that they have been on it at all even when they are blocked , whether that be by more than the time limit or by the fact its blocked .

If there is another account on there it is mine but they need my password to access that ,

If thney have two gamer tags which did occur to me that might be the case how to I associate that with his other gamertag

I like this idea, similar to how the iPhone regulates screen time. Would be great for kid’s accounts
