    Screen tear glitch on Xbox YouTube app


    Watching YouTube on the Xbox occasionally the top half of the screen will freeze/loop and the bottom half will continue to play the video has been happening more often recently and I have found zero solutions online only fellow sufferers.

    Hi Lance, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

    I have here steps that we can try, please perform a power cycle on your console by following the steps below:

    POWERCYCLE CONSOLE​​​

    ​​​

    1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off. ​​​

    2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller. ​​​

    If that didn't work uninstalling and reinstalling the app will be the next step.

    Hello Captain,

    Thank you for posting here on the Xbox forums. I understand that you have resolved this YouTube graphical error with a power cycle, but would like a different solution.

    A power cycle on your console does fix issues like this. Any app troubleshooting starts with a power cycle and reinstalling the app. I think you did well here to fix the issue. There's nothing else to recommend since it seems to be working. Feel free to
    come back here to keep us updated if the issue returns.
