screen shows Please reconnect your kinect sensor

Can try fully powering down the console by pressing and holding the power button on the front of the console then disconnect the Kinect sensor then try switching your console back on and once the console has powered up turn the console off one more time
and then reconnect the Kinect sensor to see if it will then power up.

I would reboot the console first, and then reset the Kinect Sensor. See this link, scroll down to "Reset your Kinect Sensors Connection"

Rebooting: With the console on, press and hold the power button on the console for 5 seconds until it shuts off. Unplug the power supply, wait about 30 seconds and then plug it in and reboot. You should see the green Xbox One splash screen upon reboot.
It may take a minute to boot all the way to the home screen.

If you haven’t connected to Xbox Live recently, your Xbox One console may need an update. To update your console, connect to Xbox Live by using a wired or wireless connection.

When your console is connected to Xbox Live, available updates are automatically installed. After the updates are installed, test your Kinect sensor and try these steps again if necessary.

If you didn’t have your Kinect sensor plugged in when your console took an update, follow these steps to update your sensor:

Scroll left from the Home screen to open the guide.

Select Settings.

Select All Settings.

Select Kinect & devices.

Select Kinect.

Verify that Kinect on is selected.

Reset your Kinect sensor’s connection

1. Turn off the console by pressing the Xbox button
    on the front of the console for 10 seconds.
2. Unplug the console's power, and then unplug the Kinect sensor from the console.
3. Plug the console power back in, and then press the
   Xbox button  on your console to turn it on.
4. Press the Xbox button
    on your controller to open the guide.
5. Select Profile & system >
   Settings > Devices & streaming > Kinect.
   
6. Plug the Kinect sensor into the back of the console and wait up to 2 minutes for it to be recognized.

Note If your sensor needs an update, the screen will indicate that it’s updating, which should take approximately 2 minutes. If the screen doesn’t indicate that
an update is taking place, your sensor is up to date.

If you have tried everything to fix the problem it might be time to repair.
