Screen mirroring

I want to use my Xbox one as media hub. The Xbox is connected to a big Flatscreen Tv and should mirror my laptops screen which is on the same network.

I tried air server app but to no avail. I can mirror my phone's screen but mirroring the Xbox s screen dosent work.

My Laptop uses Windows 10 and when i open the air server program the xbox is recognized and a selectable option.

I select the Xbox and the mirroring process seems to initialize but stops eventually.

Is there any solution to this or other way to realize mirroring ?

Are you talking about the wireless display app ?

It's not depreciated. The article I linked is from a month ago. They released a new and improved

Wireless Display App recently that should work.

Is the Xbox One and Windows 10 PC on the same network? Both wireless or is one wired the other not? When you say it didn't work, what happened? What part of it didn't work?

I would recommend looking into the Wireless Display app. That sounds like it will suit your needs. I'd go through the details
how to set it up, but Windows Central does a much better job, and includes less typing for me.

Take a look at that, and see if it suits your needs. Let me know if you have any questions, or if there are some problems with this solution that do not work for you. I'm sure we could find a solution.

I'm sorry to hear that the laptop can't connect to the Xbox via the Wireless Display app.

Do you happen to have another ethernet cable to hardwire the laptop as well? I think this could potentially solve the issue.

If that doesn't work, try putting the Xbox on wireless just so they can be connecting the same way.

Ok thanks. The Xbox is wired, the laptop is wirelessly connected. I tried the wireless display app again. The connection builds up I can wven see a rotating ring on the Flat Tv and the notion that connection is building up, but then the process stops and
on the laptop I read couldn't connect. Maybe not enough bandwidth ? Though android phone projection works. Also laptop projection through miracast stick works so the internet bandwidth shouldn't be the issue.
