    Screen dims when playing certain games


    I have a Hisense TV and the Xbox One X has worked fine ever since it launched. Over the past couple of months though, I have have noticed that the screen dims / becomes significantly darker when playing certain games such as Forza Horizon 4, Rocket League and Crash Team Racing to name a few.

    I have contacted Xbox Support and resetting the TV fixed the issue for a day or so before it came back. My TV does have a setting to switch the HDMI 2.0 format between standard and enhanced formats. The enhanced format is selected by default and if I switch to standard it detects a HDMI signal but will have no display. When I switch back to enhanced the dimmed screen effect is gone until I return to the Home dashboard then resume the game.

    I honestly don't know if it's an issue with the TV or the console but thought it would be worth sharing.

    Pretty much most of the games on the xbox one do that, and the ones that don't, the screen dims after a certain amount of time anyway.

    Check the settings on the TV with the TV remote Menu.
