Screen Brightness Adjusting on Controller Action

Has anyone dealt with something like this before? Once I start my Xbox One, the main menu page is quite dim but the brightness levels will gradually increase.

It will continue to increase until I begin navigating around. A few controller clicks here, a thumbpad movement there and with every controller interaction it decreases the brightness to an unplayable level.

It's maddening. It's not game specific and my TV display settings are set to standard. Nothing is dynamic. I've rebooted and shut down a few different times. This console is only a few days old and haven't had any display issues until the past hour.

Could be a faulty HDMI cable.

then turn down the brightness on the nvidia driver control panel or under display options, you basically have adjusted your screen brightness so you cannot see how bright the game actually is, the capturing comes from the gpu direct not what you see on the display.

Thanks for coming to the forums with your question. The only places to adjust brightness is either on the display itself, or the

PC brightness settings. The accessories app, is used for customizing controllers.

it is a simple fix, what you see on the screen is how you have adjusted your screen brightness, you need to alter the brightness in game and then raise the brightness on your screen.

you are following independent advisors who are following a script and half the time have no clue.
