    Scratchy audio through headphones


    I have an Antlion Modmic with Sennheiser HD650 headphones. All game audio comes in crystal clear, but when playing online (Gears 5) my friends voice comes in very scratchy. At first i thought it may be his headset, but changing his headset didn’t help,
    and when I unplug my headset and his voice plays through my TV, his voice is clear. I have changed controller batteries, tried another controller, and tried connecting my headphone amp with no improvement. Any idea why game audio would be perfect but his voice
    sounds incredibly scratchy, but only when playing through the headset?

    Mainly videos with 5.1 audio. They have a fuzzzy and scratchy sound to the audio.

    No audio through headphones

    Hi, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

    It can be the console as well, kindly perform a reset on your console keeping your games and apps. Don't worry because as long as you're connected to Xbox Live your saved progress, games, will not be deleted. It will remove all of your accounts but you can add all of them later on.

    Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

    Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

    Select Reset console.

    Reset and keep my games & apps.

    they are the same as the standard xbox one s controllers, so with pc you can use via bluetooth(audio through headphone jack not supported)

    or wired(supports audio via headphone jack)

    Does the monitor not have a headphone jack? My solution is using HDMI in to my monitor, sound through the HDMI, and audio out (3.5mm) of the headphone jack to my headset station.

    Can you try some troubleshooting steps yourself, to try to circle in the problem of no sound?

    How is your console connected to your speakers? Are you connecting the console to a TV directly, or are you using an audio receiver? If you have an audio receiver, can you try connecting the console via optical audio to the receiver instead of HDMI?

    Can you try plugging headphones into your controller, and in the settings of the console choose "Microsoft Sonic for headphones" as audio output? Do you hear sound through the headphones?
