Scratched off code number.

My boyfriend recently got his son a microsoft$25 gift card, he accidectally ended up scratching 4-6 numbers off. We have been calling support since 6AM and havent got help, its sucky cause this was a gift.

I have exactly the same problem, my son scratched the silver panel off and scratched the first part of the code off, there is a bar code & number on the card so surely this can be retrieved???

Depending on how many number he scratched off, you might also be able to make a guess as to what the code is. Sometimes if it is only 1 or 2 numbers scratched away, then guessing is pretty easy.

Xbox Gift Cards should have a scratch-away or peel-away line on the back to reveal the 25-character code. (If it's scratch-away, always use caution when scratching off the obscurer, as you don't want to damage the numbers underneath, or there's no real
way to recover the code)

Yeah, as others havw stated, if there is no code on back, and no silver scratch seal(the stuff you scratch off to reveal numbers) your only real recourse is to return to the place where it was bought
