Scratched disk

So, if it's just that one game, It sounds like the disk is scratched. Are there any scratches on the disk?

Someone has to correct him or others will believe what he posts. but I can't be asked to keep with his nonsense. Ban him for good and things can go back to normal

from the laser diode can get past any surface anomalies and enough of that light is reflected back to the reading mechanism, it's fine. It's better than having the scratch that stops it from being usable in the first place.

Bottom line, if a disc is at the point where it isn't working you can't make it worse by resurfacing it. As long as the scratch hasn't hit the data layer on the disc (it's actually near the disc label side), it's worth a shot.

Plus, those resurfacing machines, leave microscopic scratches on the disc surface (To take the Visible Scratch out) & the Optical Drive, can pick them up with the Laser Diode reflecting off the disc etc..
