Scotland friend bought a game for Canadian xbox user, game wont redeem

My friend that lives in scotland bought a game for our mutual friend that lives in French Canada, he is unable to redeem the game code because of region differences. Is there a way around this? She bought the game from her console in Scotland and he lives
in French Canada with an active XBL account.

Games from different regions will not be redeemable outside of the region they were purchased within. This is mentioned prior to your final purchase of your gift. Regarding any potential refunds, you'll need to contact the support team at support.xbox.com/contact-us

Actually, if you guys are interested in
any kind of refund, you would have to go to this page and fill out a request at
Request an Xbox digital
product or subscription refund.
After submitting the request, you’ll be sent an email on whether or not it was approved or denied.

The followupemail you will receive is the only means to get in contact with the refund
department directly and will be the only means of you disputing the verdict as well.

If and when you get a chance, give it a shot and let us know how that helped.
