Scary games?

Outlast with the Whistleblower addition is fantastic if you're looking for a thriller. It's the only game other than Dead Space to make me jump a few times. Another that may be worth taking a look at is The Evil Within. Bethesda is a great developer, so
I would expect a quality game from them. After all, Morrowind and Skyrim have given their fair share of scary moments. Especially those Draugr.

The Last of Us is the first game that's made me jump since some of the first Resident Evils. I don't see how anyone would think that RE5 or 6 were scary though.

I think I'll have to check out Outlast soon if it's really as scary as people are saying.

I know you said no Silent Hill, but man Silent Hill 2 is the scariest game I most recently played, which is a few years ago now, but SH HD collection would be my suggestion.

Also Shadows of the Dammed is not scary, it could have been, but it's too light hearted through the whole thing.

I didn't see the DLC for Outlast. Damn, now I have to play it again, as I deleted it from my pc. Oh well....I guess I don't mind playing it again. It's worthy.

Dead Island is not very scary IMO. Resident Evil 5 is a good suggestion though. I know a lot of people pooped on this, but Resident Evil 6 was a decent game too. OP you should look up The Evil Within! It comes out in a couple of months I believe. For 360
