Let me think loud.

- A certain number of users can't connect to the live while all the others can.

- Most of the reported issues are coming from Poland, Czech, Hungary, Austria, Romania as I saw. Seems it's a regional issue.

- Considering how (slowly) MS handles the issue I think we are in minority with our problem even in our region.

- Some of us tried to connect through other ISPs (eg. Mobile hotspots) and ended up with the same problem.

- Most of us connect through giant ISP players like UPC, Orange, Vodafone, Digi. I don't think that all the Xbox users with these ISPs have problems.

- My personal case: I bought a brand new X360 last Saturday to replace my old one that has suddenly died with 3red led. I decided to not to fix. So I had to configure the new one from scratch. Of course I couldn't complete it because of the connection issue
from day one.

So considering all I've summarized above I think it could be even a hardware issue. I mean for instance a component in the hardware or a firmware version of the network interface, etc. is not compatible with something (new setting) in the live server.

Probably only those hardware impacted which have the same "bad" component inside.

It could potentially explain the regional characteristics of the problem. Delivered to the region in the same batch.

If I were MS I would also investigate the serial number of the hardware of the complaining users.

It might turn out that all of these consoles have something common, like network interface came from the same vendor on a particular date, whatever.

I don't it's the case I was just thinking loud.

Opinion?

I do not think ... the problem is, in my opinion, on Microsoft's side, and it is more related to some update of their servers (probably to prepare for the new Xbox) ... It is nonsense for all Xboxes in the region to "break" at once ...
