Saving Xbox

the way I see it, consoles are going to be overrun by PCs eventually. They’re just better. But I think consoles could be saved.

1) My first idea is to make Xbox gold more like steam, as in where each month we get to play 1 or 2 games for free. Because in reality, most people don’t care about discounts for games they’ve never heard or before. But, make heard of games free to play
for a month and it becomes better. Plus, you could just have those games advertised on home screen and then you can put it up on gold like 2 months later. And yes, on a technicality you do this with free games, but I think having better games free to play
for 1 month is better. Will also boost sales and certain gaming companies may want to use this as an advertising ploy.

2) Ditch controller. I think giving the next console a mouse and keyboard would be much better, because everyone loves a mouse and keyboard better than a contoller. Plus, now it’s like a PC but for cheaper. Ofcourse an alternative would be creating a new
interact device better than mouse and keyboard, but I don’t think that’s happening. All in all, controllers are out-dated.

3) giving players a better interact device could bring console up to a streaming level which is important for a strong console community. And a strong community is beneficial to microsoft in many ways.

Conclusion: make it more like a PC, and beat their prices. A PC that costs less than others will attract people

I'd make sure my family is ok. If they are alright, the rest can burn to the ground. It's just stuff, all is replaceable.

I'd run back in to save my family members, my pets, my PC, my Xbox, any loose wads of cash, family heirlooms, photos, and my mother-in-law. In that order. My Xbox isn't at the top of the list only because almost everything about my profile can be recovered
from the cloud.

As someone who actually owns consoles from all current and past console makers (Sega, Nintendo, Sony, Xbox, Atari, SNK) as well as a higer-end gaming PC, I can tell you that consoles still have their advantages over a PC.

First of all: A console is something I can turn on, and immediately start playing.

On a PC, I have to check if my graphics card drivers are up to date to run the latest game, and when I want to talk to friends during a multiplayer match, we first have to settle on the chat tool, and even download and install a new chat tool like TeamSpeak,
Discord or whatever. On the console I simply plug in a headset, join a party and off we go.

As for your other suggestions:

1) As a Gold member, you get 4 games for free every month. Two Xbox 360 games you get to keep, even if you become a free silver member, and two Xbox One games you can always play as long as you're a Gold member. Also on Xbox One there is the Xbox Game Pass.

For less than 10 US$ you get to play hundreds of games. Just like Netflix or Amazon Prime Video, you pay a small fee, but can play hundreds of games on your console. And the cool thing is: If you like a game and want to buy it to own it forever, you also
get a discount on the game price as well as the Add Ons!

2) This goes down to personal taste and how someone is gaming. On a PC, I'm sitting at my desk and enjoy mouse and keyboard controls. However when I play on my consoles, I'm usually relaxing on the couch, and having used a home theater PC, I can assure you
that using a keyboard and mouse on a couch is no fun. I find a controller to be more relaxing in a couch-gaming environment.

However, you can already use Keyboard and Mouse input on the Xbox One's Minecraft (the latest Bedrock edition, not the older "Xbox One Edition"), and they are still thinking about getting Keyboard and Mouse support on Xbox One.

3) What exactly do you mean with "interact device"? If you mean streaming in general: Xbox One supports streaming to Mixer and Twitch right out of the box. And with the Kinect Camera (that was sadly discontinued), it was possible to put the streamer into
the game stream, as if they were using a professional green screen, and thanks to the depth information, Kinect would cut out the background.

Also, Mixer lets viewers on a stream actually interact with your game! You can set up a virtual controller on your Mixer stream, and viewers of your stream can actually play with you interactively.

So I hope I could explain to you that most of your suggestions are already fulfilled, and therefore make the console better than the average PC
