saving locally for playing offline

When you play something offline, the game will send progress to the cloud when online.

Moving to the Cloud

When you start a new game, you’ll usually see a prompt asking where you want to save your game. You can now select “cloud saved games” as the storage device. After that, every time you sign in to your
profile and play the game, it will be saved to the cloud.

If you want to store an existing saved game to the cloud, you can simply move it. Do the following:

Sign in to your profile

Go to “settings.” ”system,” then “storage”

Select the storage device that holds the saved game you want to move

Choose “games” to select the one with your save

“Move”

Select “cloud saved games”

You can play the game offline to see if it loads the local save. But some games uses only cloud saving when online, so you might not have a local save different then the one in the cloud.

In this case, you can try to play the game in offline mode. It will save your progress locally. Then, when starting the game again online, it will sync the local save to the cloud. It might work to fix your issue but you will probably lose all the progress you made on your current save.

You don't need to play online to save your games . After the initial set up you can play the games offline and the saves will be stored in a local cache.
