Save-game location for XBOX Game pass for Windows games.

I'd like to know where the save files are stored for Xbox Game Pass files on Windows.

I've tried searching for the 'Saved Games' folder in Documents, also checked the 'My games' folder and any other subfolders, alas to no avail.

I did find some other folders/files under local\appdata\packages, but not the save files.

Adding to this, I understand it's still a beta (a paid one at that though), but there is no indication as to where the save files are stored or if cloud saves are supported at all, using multiple pc's this can be quite a dealbreaker.

I think each game will be slightly different. For Slay the Spire cloudsaves are not available. The following is not 100%, but seems to work for me so far.

The save files are in

Users\XXXXX\AppData\Local\Packages\HumbleBundle.SlayTheSpire_q2mcdwmzx4qja\LocalCache\Local\Microsoft\WritablePackageRoot

XXXX will be whatever user you are logged in as.

There will be 2 folders you need to copy the contents of.

"preferences" has the actual save files

"runs" has the run history

You will need to hunt around for other games, but AFAIK they will be in the AppData\Local\Packages directory.

Have you found an answer to this problem? I tried playing wasteland 2 tonight 3 times and save games each time. When i exited to main menu the saves were gone and I only had the option for a new game.

No answer as of yet. However your problem seems to he different. My saves persist locally however not on different pc's.

Did you end up finding an answer to this? Same situation, same game as you.

Same problem here. All my Mutant Year Zero saves have been deleted after a game update. Microsoft we are pc gamers, we need this.
