    Save file location for Final Fantasy IX (and other Game Pass games)?


    Hi, I've surfed through a ton of posts in this community and some other forums regarding this issue, but I have not found any solution for it so I've decided to open a thread so hopefully someone sheds some light on this matter.

    My case is the following:
    I want to transfer my saved data from iPad (which I already extracted and have on my desktop) to the Final Fantasy IX copy I got from Game Pass on PC (Win 10). I must point out that I have a HDD as a mass storage unit to install the games (D: for this scenario), so I'm not sure if that affects in some way the location of the save files. I've tried on AppData, LocalLow, Local, Packages, etc. And I haven't found it yet.
    The closest I've been to find it is in some sort of alphanumeric code named folder inside AppData\Local\Packages\(gamefolder)\SystemAppData\wgs, there are several folders and files which update everytime I save in game.

    The information I've found claims it's possible (and they provide step by step guide) but thats for another game provider that starts with "S", but I have not enough information for the Game Pass version of the game.

    I hope someone knows how to do it.

    Hi, sorry for the late response, I didn't see it on my feeed until now. Your reply makes some sense, but as I stated above, I'm sure there must be a way, unless GamePass version works with a different level of security. I'm not sure if it's completely forbidden, but I saw this post (and some others kinda related) on another platform and it was possible to transfer a gamesave from iOS to PC. But then again, it was another game provider.

    Your gamesaves are connected to your live account

    If you are using xcloud simply sign into your xbox account cloud saves unless you are talking an iPad ff 9 game rather then xcloud then no

    Ps allows it kinda but not the way you think you get trophies disabled if you try importing gamesaves that was t connected to your profile

    If you were using xcloud then you would access your gamesaves on cloud or locally on your xbox one

    You cannot manually move your gamesaves onto pc from console.doing so breaks the terms of use

    You have to use cloud assuming it supports cross saves

    Xbox formats drives so nothing else can manipulate or change things
