Save file for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Recovery

Hi there,

Last night I played quite a number of hours in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. I originally started the game last week via xCloud (Game Pass Ultimate), but shifted over to playing the PC version (also via Game Pass Ultimate, but not via streaming!) later in the week.

This morning I woke up to find that my save file was de-synced from the one the night before, so I selected the most recent slot and now I find that the title screen shows only the option to begin a new game. I am seemingly unable to recover my save file and have thus lost my 23+ hours of progress.

I desperately do not want to replay 23 hours of this game, so I've been in touch with support to recover an earlier save file, from the last achievement I've unlocked ("First Axon", according to support: "Clair Obscur: Expeditie 33 1769971395 May 2nd 2025 22:33:59 UTC 255/1000 24"). But following the steps given by support, it seems that my save still isn't recovered through the save cloud. Below are the steps I've already undertaken:

1) via Windows settings I've reset the Xbox app on PC. First I signed out of Xbox App, then I went through settings > apps > xbox > advanced settings > reset.
- This did not solve the problem.

2) Then through the same method, also according to the instructions given by support. (PC settings > Apps > Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 > advanced settings > reset).
- This did not solve the problem. Customer support told me to wait a few hours. So about 12 hours later I booted the game again to see if this had fixed the issue, but no. The title screen of the game still only shows new game.

3) I've tried to launch the game through xCloud on a mobile device via streaming. Here I was also shown the title screen with only the option to begin a new game.

I've not gotten a reply from Xbox support at this time, so I'm hopeful that this post can help.
I'm fine with losing the few hours of progress I've made, but want to load the earlier cloud save that was confirmed upon receiving the last achievement I've gotten ("First Axon"), though of course the best solution would be to get my cloud save back from when I closed the game around 1:30AM on May 3rd 2025.

Are there solutions I've yet to try? Would deleting and reinstalling the game on PC work? Can I manually download the cloud save and somehow load that into the game?

It's disheartening to lose all this progress in a game I've adored up to this point, so any help would be *greatly* appreciated!
