Hello will this 4K monitor support my Xbox One X with full 4K + HDR. I’m looking to go pick up my Xbox One X today with this monitor since it’s in stock! Link to monitor: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/samsun...-4k-uhd-monitor-black/5484022.p?skuId=5484022

Also is this monitor good for 4K gaming, thoughts?

One X 4k issues

I recently purchased the Samsung - UE590 Series 28" LED 4k UHD Monitor specifically for my One X. The monitor is perfectly capable of running 4k@60fps yet in my xbox settings, it says the monitor doesn't support it. However, intermittently
I can get the xbox to recognize that my monitor can in fact run 4k@60. I dont know why this happens, and can't seem to override the xbox to say yes it definitely can run 4k@60 and thats the setting I want you to run. As of current, I can only select 2k@60.
Anyone know why this happens or how to override these settings on the xbox to force it to run 4k@60 regardless of the feedback it is receiving from the monitor?

What 4k monitors are compatible?

Samsung 28 inch 4K UHD monitor is the one I've used before. It doesn't support HDR, btw. Get a monitor with HDR atleast 2.0. Superior response than TV? I guess TVs are also decent.

When I checked the Q&A section against this monitor someone has said that an Xbox One X will work on this monitor. Additionally it looks like this monitor does not support HDR and in my opinion I think any monitor / television you intend to use should also
support HDR to allow you to get the best out of your new console.

The Samsung S28AG700NU is a 4K monitor. Why are you trying to run it in 1440P? The Series S can run in 4K, the games will not render in 4K, but console can still be in 4K.

I believe your room layout and budget really should play into what TV/monitor you use.

I have the Samsung series 7 55inch 4K UHD LED TV, i have to sit a certain distance away from it or I'll start feeling sick haha. Smart TV's are nice

I also have the Gear 5 limited edition Xbox and my game play is crisp!

My kids have a Samsung UA55D7000 LED Tv and it is fantastic. Even the series 6 Samsung LED Tvs would do fine, however if you have the cash as someone mentioned look at the 4K Tvs or the Samsung ES series 7 8 or 9 LED Tvs.

Mine will be connected to a UA60ES8000.
