That won't help. That link is to do with the enabling post processing modes which are only good when watching live sports or movies. If 'Game mode' is truly enabled, these motion smooth effects will be turned off anyway. And with Game mode enabled, these
other post process options should be greyed out on the TV menu.

As I understand it, the Samsung RU7100 has automatic console detection and should have changed to 'Game Mode' Automatically.

Is the blurring really that bad or just slight blurring? Did you old set have no blurring at all? I find that hard to believe. The RU7100 series has a fairly decent 12.9 milliseconds latency.

As with pretty much all LCD tech, blurring is always going to be an issue, even on screens with fast refreshes and low latency.

    Why does my screen blur?

The answer lies in persistence (sample-and-hold) that this technology uses. Even instant pixel response (0 ms) can have lots of motion blur due to sample-and-hold.

Your eyes are always moving when you track moving objects on a screen. Sample-and-hold means frames are statically displayed until the next refresh. Your eyes are in a different position at the beginning of a refresh than at the end of a refresh; this causes
the frame to be blurred across your retinas.

An excellent web-based animation of sample-and-hold motion blur can be found via the Blur Busters UFO Motion Tests:

    Eye-Tracking Motion Blur Animation
. This is motion blur from persistence.

If Game mode hasn't helped and you feel your new TV isn't what you expected, you should attempt to exchange it for a different, perhaps more expensive TV. When buying TV's for gaming, it's always a good idea to check reviews on the internet, or video reviews
    on YouTube.

    :)

    Hi sir

Im wondering if theres any inside game settings where you can turn the blur off...my only reasoning for this is i play call of duty and within there general settings there is motion blur options to toggle on or off.

It maybe of no use but i merely throwing it out there.

    Thanks
