Samsung H3362: Xbox one audio settings

I have it with a Samsung box (model SMT-H3362) and if you go into manually edit it, it probably won't find the EXACT model number, which is what it needs. That's my guess, and I'm hoping they get it fixed (add support for more boxes). Until then, I'll be
watching through the regular TV because I don't want my Xbox to have to be running to watch TV if I can't use the features of it.

I have the S27A950D samsung monitor and It only has a audio out jack and no actual settings for audio.. The volume when watching movies on the xbox is really low, anyone know the problem?

Basically, I want to use HDMI for both video and audio (because it offers the best quality), but the sound is not working for HDMI connection. I chatted with a Samsung rep and they explained that the Vizio sound bar and Samsung TV might not have compatible
versions of CEC (Consumer End Consumption) technology. I'm hoping that's not the case and that the issue is due to some minor setting that I'm missing in the Xbox One settings.

Can you try setting your Samsung box to Stereo PCM audio instead of Dolby/Surround?

Like dlCHIEF58 says, connecting Your Xbox One to the reciver with a Optical cable (Tos-link) is the suggested way to go..

I did that with my Xbox One and the difference in sound was clearly noticeable and well Worth it.. But I did need to go into the display and sound settings and enable "Bitstream out" and bitstream format Dolby digital (on my Samsung reciver)for it to give
surround sound... Most Surround sound systems will support Optical audio i belive..
