My wife and me are both trying to play this game

    https://www.msn.com/it-it/play/games/bubble-shooter-hd/cg-9nzvl6gzqhkj

Our computers are near identical, a Ryzen 7700x and a Ryzen 8600G, both using iGPU.

Upon first launch the game offers to play online or install it, but that makes no difference.

On the 8600G the game runs "normal" as in relatively slow moving balls where it takes a second or two per shot, it has nice sound for every bubble popping, all just fine.

On the 7700x the game runs at max speed without any breaks, a shot takes less than 0.1 seconds, all the animations and sounds from the shot and the popping bubbles are compressed into that time, you literally can't see what it does in between clicking the shot and seeing the result and the sound is like one very short scrambled mix of all the sounds in one tune.

I cannot find any settings or whatever might make a difference and I cannot figure out how to make the game slow down on the 7700x.

    :)

now that's a problem I haven't seen in a very long time. It used to be that PC games had no ability to govern how fast they ran and that would make some games unplayable. For example I had to disable the CPU cache on my 486 to play Wing Commander

I suggest you contact the developer and see if you can send them a log file, because there's nothing that should cause that

    Thanks for the reply.

Cache and cookies I tried just now, makes no difference, logically cannot, because not only the browser game does this, the installed version does as well and that one doesn't use a browser.

That's why using a different browser is pointless, I'm simply not using any.

Hardware accelleration I have disabled all over our systems since forever, I've had such an overload of problems with that in the past, by now I know all the software that uses it and on top of disabling it in Windows itself I disable it everwhere as soon as I install any such software. With only iGPU it's useless anyway.

yeah they don't know what they're talking about, you should look at the task manager and compare system resources that are being used at the same time, perhaps one computer has something running the other doesnt

That's an idea, but both computers are (aside of using only iGPU) way beyond anything a game like the bubble shooter might require.

Furthermore one computer being busier than the other could explain if one computer was playing the game too slow or stuttering or something, but I have the opposite problem, one computer is playing it way too fast.

Hey ThomasHD, I'm sorry to hear you're dealing with this issue performance issue. I understand how this can be really disruptive!

First, try clearing the browser cache and cookies.

Try disabling hardware acceleration in your browser settings, as this can sometimes cause issues with game performance. You could also try switching to a different browser like Chrome or Edge, as they might handle the game differently.

Lastly, test the game with browser extensions disabled. Some extensions can interfere with game performance and cause it to behave abnormally.

Let me know if any of these help! :)
