Saddest Release Yet

Can't even download the new COD (as many users here can't). Installation stopped messages, disc read errors, you name it.

But If you're having similar issues don't scroll down to the next posts I've been reading for hours and the only known solutions are to try a hard reset (hold power button or unplug for a while) or try an offline install. And from what I can tell that's
really only a fix for less than half the population having these issues. SO, don't scroll on, trust me I've done the reading for you. Instead, leave a comment! I don't care if its "Same here" or you're own rant about how terrible this system can be. But posting
one at a time seems to fit right into Microsofts formula of avoiding all contact with the blatant problems and be as least transparent to its community as possible. Hey, if they ignore us all together we've got one more reason to regret possibly the worst
purchase of our lives

If the release date is any later than the 5th...

So you will buy console based on the release date? That's the saddest thing I have heard in a long time.

 

hows madden 25?

As many problems this game has, it is no where near the low level of Madden 06. Sadden 06 is not only a horrible horrible next gen game (day 1 release for the 360). It is probably the worst Madden EVER. I still have a Sadden 06 background on my 360 to
remind me of the tears that night. lol

 

Having the same problem. Can't believe this is still going on. Activision/Treyarch don't seem to care enough to do anything and Microsoft doesn't seem to be doing much either. This is really, really hurting the image of Treyarch, Activision, and Microsoft.

 

Have you tried (if you have Twitter) tweeting Xbox Support? They're usually pretty good at getting back to you.

Honestly, I think Activision/Treyarch are probably sitting there thinking, "Holy crap... they just keep buying these 'Call of Duty' games?!"

Had the same issue myself. It took a while, but the offline fix worked for me. So I'll post it in here just so everyone can try.

If the installation stops or errors out, then cancel it entirely and eject the disc. Go to your Network Settings, and go offline. Then put the disc back in, and let the install go until it completely installs the game. Then, go back to the network settings
and go back online and then fire the game up. It should then update... which took a while for me... but after that, it should be working.

That was what worked for me, so figure I'll share it with you all in case it does the trick for you
