    Runtime error msg when trying to purchase on xbox live


    I keep on getting an error msg when trying to buy a game, both directly on xbox and online.

    Runtime Error
    Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers
    running on the local server machine.

    Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a <customErrors> tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This <customErrors>
    tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off".

    Any ideas how to purchase my game?

    Nope, I'm currently getting a "Runtime Error" when trying to get on the forums. Maybe they're updating or something?

    Hi

    This sounds like a Browser/Server side issue. Try purchasing via a computer (if you haven't already) and try a different browser (Edge, Firefox, Chrome) and see if that make any difference. Also, you can try using the In-Private mode, this sometimes help.

    If the problem persists, you can have a chat with Xbox support here:
    https://support.xbox.com/con    tact-us choosing Account in Step 1 and then Other in the next step to have them check your account.

    UPDATE: The Xbox Live Status page currently directs to a runtime error message, a way round this is to view it in incognito mode on Chrome.
