Purchased Xbox live through the rocket league promotion banner on the Xbox home and am yet to receive the code for the game.

To clarify on the Rocket League promotion, you would need to have purchased a 3 month subscription, per the terms of the promotion on the Rocket League website

HERE. Since you mentioned that you purchased a 1 month subscription, that wouldn't be eligible for this offer unfortunately.
