Rocket League Promotion Clarification

I realize there's been quite a few posts with questions about the Rocket League promotion and when people will get their code, however, I found a
Reddit post from a Psyonix representative and was hoping to get some clarification. I recently bought a 12 month subscription to Gold, but bought the 3 month subscription yesterday directly through my Xbox after seeing the promotion on the rocket league
website. I do not recall seeing the promotion listed in the Xbox store when I bought it. The representative in the link I posted above seems to indicate that I will not receive the game. I was just hoping for some clarification one way or the other.

Rocket League Promotion

I purchased a three month Xbox Gold subscription during Rocket League's promotion. Per the promotion, I was supposed to receive a free code for Rocket League. I have yet to get the code.

Rocket League Promotion

On the rocket League Promotion page, it says any Xbox live subscription is valid but this is not the case, as i am now hearing it is 3 months. This seems as a false advertisement which is unfair for others. May I receive clarification otherwise?

Thanks for the reply. I bought the 12 month subscription a month or two ago from another retailer before this promotion started, I didn't expect the promotion to apply to that.

I purchased the 3 month Gold subscription yesterday on the console after seeing the promotion on the Rocket League website, but I do not recall seeing it at any time on the console.
