Rocket League - Chat Error, can't unmute

I still haven't found a fix to this issue as of yet.

It does not seem to be an Xbox related problem if your privacy and security settings do not have any restrictions and you can use Xbox partys without any problem.

No, I've not had any problems with xbox party's. It just seems to be with the in game team chat on rocket league where it won't let me unmute random xbox players (i.e. not friends). Friends are already unmuted.

I've got a separate ticket raised with Epic support who are providing guidance but they seem to think the problem is xbox related and not Epic related.

Any help would be appreciated.

So prepare for a long paragraph. I’ve found a way to unmute and talk to same platform players after so long of not being able to. I noticed after a rocket league update that on my brothers ps4 a terms and conditions was shown and he was able to click “ok”. I update my rocket league and no such thing was shown. I proceeded to go to the rocket league settings and in the “extra” category, I went under legal agreements and clicked every agreement from eula to terms of service and etc and scrolled down and pressed “ok” after each and everyone of them. I then clicked on the parental controls in the same ‘extras’ category and it brought me to a page talking about cabin accounts and showing restrictions. I read that and just went over my settings on the epic games website and clicked allow voice communications with all. I already had that turned on but I turned it on and off just to be safe. I then reloaded rocket league and everything was fixed. This worked for me and so I’m sharing it hoping it works for you as well.

I too have this issue. Been going on for a while now. Occasionally it happens to other console/pc players also. Cannot unmute due to being muted on platform. I try to just invite to party if it's on xbox.
