Roccat Swarm can't access the Sea Of Thieves executible in the WindowsApps folder

I am currently running windows 10 and I have Roccat Swarm installed. It's is the software for my gaming mouse. It has an auto switching function to change my mouse settings for each game. All my games but Sea Of Thieves work with this function. When I try
to manually select the executable file within my Roccat Swarm software it tells me I do not have access to that file. I have already went into properties and given read write access to the WindowsApps folder to my windows account so I am able to access it
thru windows explorer.

Hi Lucas,

I set myself as the owner of the WindowsApps folder on the H: drive and attempted to reinstall sea of thieves, unfortunately it is still returning the same 0x8007005 error as before.

Is this happening only with Sea Of Thieves?

Did you check if maybe there is a corrupted folder for Sea of Thieves inside XboxGames or WindowsApps folder on your drive?

If possible please send me an screenshot of the folders inside these two folders

the guide on this website will help to unlock the WindowsApps folder.

Just bear in mind that if your game is on another drive other than C:\ the WindowsApps folder on that drive will be in the root directory. So for D:\ drive it will be D:\WindowsApps.

You can try the following steps to install Sea of Thieves on a different drive:

Create a symbolic link (also known as a "junctions") between the folder where Windows Store installs apps on the C drive, and a folder on the D drive. This tricks the Windows Store into thinking the app is installed on the C drive, when it's actually on the D drive.

Uninstall Sea of Thieves from the Windows Store, if it's already installed.

Open an elevated Command Prompt window (right-click the Start button and select "Command Prompt (Admin)").

Run the following command to create a symbolic link:

mklink /J "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.SeaOfThieves_1.0.29.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe" "D:\SeaOfThieves"

Close the Command Prompt window and open the Windows Store app.

Reinstall Sea of Thieves and it should install to the D drive, using the symbolic link created in step 4.

This should resolve your issue and allow you to install Sea of Thieves on the D drive.
