Rise of the tomb raider crashes mid-game on xbox series x. Progress lost.

I was playing rise of the tomb raider on my Xbox series x.

I was leaving the area after I collected the atlas and my game suddenly froze and then crashed. I reopened the game and when I looked at the map, it had all disappeared and the Baba Yaga DLC missions had reset. Also, the tips that appear to help start the game were appearing too, after over 14 hours of playtime into the game.

Finally, every time I try to start playing again to see if other things are broken, my game freezes and crashes again.

I have saved and quit, to go back to the menu, with no changes, and I have also restarted my Xbox, and still nothing happened.

The game does have a feature which saves a back-up save from before the normal save, but when I use it, it just goes back a few minutes and the same thing happen.

Hi.

I did the reset where my games stay installed and when I tried, the same stuff still happened.

I also tried to play on cloud gaming and the game still crashed at the same spot and the progress was lost.

Not sure if there is anything else I could do other than make a new save I guess.

Is your advice made for playing on PC? Because some things you said, I couldn't find on Xbox.

I tried uninstalling the game and add-ons and then reinstalling. When I opened the game and played it, nothing changed.

The link you posted also didn't seem to work. Is there anything else I could try? Thanks.

If the save file was corrupted, you may need to do so.

Do you have a previous save you can load and try to use to pass this section of the game?

Have you tried to reset your console?

Please, follow these steps:

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

Select Reset and keep my games & apps.
