Rise of Nations Extended Edition can be open source

Having ascertained that RoN:EE has 10000 bugs and other problems and that neither Microsoft nor Big Huge nor anyone else wants to fix them, here I call for the game to be released open source, perhaps on Git Hub, so that other independent developers can bring the game back to the glory of the CD version... and fix the bugs that plagued the game even then.

For example, but without wishing to be exhaustive, there is a bug in the Napoleon campaign that prevents invading Portugal, and in the non-English versions the cheats no longer work.

Well, I opened this discussion specifically to ask that it be released as open source.

Let me get this straight, Microsoft is still taking money for a game they no longer support?

I've already checked the forums, they all report it as a bug that cannot be fixed by users.

And this is a forum too! And, yes, I have already tried to contact the developers. Big Huge is the only one who responded telling me to contact MS!

i already have rise of nations extended edition. that is not even the game i try to get help with. rise of legends is a different game. no matter how many times you claim them to be the same, it does not make it correct. you are still just as wrong in your statement. let us stop discussing rise of nations 1(rise of nation extended edition) and instead focus on rise of nations 2(rise of legends). i have been doing some testing. what i found is that the game struggles with maintaining connection when 2 different systems is used. windows 7 and 10 or windows 7 and 8.1 or windows 8.1 and 10. it works when both pcs run the same system.

You may still continue to play the game Rise of Nations Rise of Legends. However, based on our resources, this game reached end of life where game functionality and features is not always guaranteed.

Should you need to play multiplayer mode of the game with your friends you may try the updated version - Buy Rise of Nations: Extended Edition | Xbox.

I still would like to be able to move the mini map, but I was able to click on my army by temporarily changing my screen resolution. Just came up with that idea a few minutes ago.
