Ring shaped scratch on the bitten of a disk after playing on new console, SPLINTERCELL ...

My splinter cell blacklist ring around the bottom of the disk, after playing on a friends new console, it starts up but stays at loading screen then freezes, how do I fix or get in touch with the right people to fix it ?

Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion disk has ring scratch in a really wonky place

I tried to load my oblivion disk in my xbox and it said open tray, so i check the disk and it has a ring scratch on it, fair play i say but that ring scratch isnt on the big part but on that really small area that surrounds the hole in the disk

i alway though that isnt needed

any leads on why the ring scratch is there and not where it should be?

Sorry to hear it. The circle on the disk happens when the console is moved while on. If your friends console is standing on end then it's possible it shifted a little bit while you were playing.

There are two things you can try here.

1. Use the disc replacement program to get a new disc. There is a fee for this.

support.xbox.com/.../disc-replacement-program

2. See if a friend has the same game and borrow it to install on your hard drive. You should then be able to continue using your disc for verification purposes only.

Well if the disc really is scrathced then you have to get a new one, there's nothing that can be done. Can you try the disc on another console to see if it's your console or the disc itself? The scratches don't even have to look bad to mess the disc up.
I had Lost Planet 2 for PS3 and it looked fine. Froze after the first chapter and then wouldn't even load the game after that. Checked the disc in perfect lighting real close and saw really faint ring shaped scratches.

Four-Channel

Remove the hard drive, and then put the game in and see if it works, if it doesn't work check the bottom of the disk. If the disk is dirty or scratched, even if there's a crack on the inner ring it wont work. If there are scratches take it to Gamestop or
a Video Rental Store and have it repaired for around $2.00. Have you tried other games in the console? Did you leave the game in the console after it was turned off? This makes the console have issues, remember to remove any game after you are done.
