    Right Trigger Input Replaced With The Left Joystick


    Recently, I've started using my xbox one again, my controller stopped working, but I got a new one, it worked for a bit, but after restarting my xbox, for some reason, when I pressed the right trigger, it like, sends the same signal to the xbox, as if
    you were to move t he left joystick left. This is incredibly annoying, because in gamest ike rec room, building is slower, when I can't sue the right trigger, and when I try to maybe, grab an item with my right hand, it moves left instead, incredibly annoying.
    How do I fix this?

    To clarify, how are you attempting to navigate? Have you used the D pad, the left joystick, or the left and right triggers?

    Hey there Lurker! I have a test for you to run that might tell us some more details. Can you input the following button sequence for us?

    Left Trigger, Right Trigger, Right Trigger, Left Trigger, Right Bumper, Left Bumper

    Once this test runs (it will end in a failure - don't worry, that's normal!), can you let us know the ping times reported?

    I am aware that you are experiencing issues with your wired controller, which causes the left trigger to activate whenever you move the right joystick upward. Let us work on this together.

    • Please let me know whether this happens only with a certain app or whether it happens with all games and apps open.

    Kindly try the following steps below to troubleshoot the problem.

    Power cycle your controller.

    Many controller issues can be resolved by putting the controller through a complete power cycle. To power cycle your controller:

    1. Press and hold the Xbox button for 5-10 seconds, until the controller turns off.
    2. Wait a few seconds, then press and hold the Xbox button  again to turn the controller back on.
