Right stick acts as LT when pushed upwards.

Hi. Recently whenever I push upwards on my right stick it acts like the left trigger and does whatever the left trigger is supposed to do. My left trigger itself works fine by the way. This issue does not happen every time but it happens very often. This frustrates me a lot and I've looked on places like Reddit to see if anyone else had the same issue. A few do but none of their solutions have really helped me so I came here to ask someone who works for Microsoft. I don't really want to have to burn money on another controller if this problem could be fixed. I've looked on accessories and the button mappings and stuff but that has not worked for me either. Thanks!

Are you playing on a Console? please, reset it.

You can follow these steps:

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

Select Reset and keep my games & apps.

I have noticed if you remove the thumb stick the range of motion when pushing up now registers the full range of motion. It’s as if by having the thumb stick on it stops the controller from registering the full range upward
