Right joystick isn't working with any controllers or consoles.

I'm sorry to hear that you've been experiencing issues with your controllers. Based on the troubleshooting steps you've already taken, it sounds like the issue may be with the HDMI ports on your TV. Just a reminder, here on community, we are not able to check all of your devices and determine where the problem is since we do not have that option here on community. What we can do here is provide you some troubleshooting steps and if none if it works, it would be the best to contact our dedicated Xbox Live support already as they have a better view than us here on community. Basing on the statement you provided above, here are some troubleshooting steps that you may try:

1. Check Magnifier Settings:
   
   • Sometimes the Magnifier setting can interfere with joystick functionality. To turn it off:
     
     1. Hold down the Xbox button on your controller until the menu pops up.
        
     2. Press the back button to disable the Magnifier setting.
        
     3. Try your game again and see if the right joystick works
        
2. Reconfigure Controller:
   
   • Navigate to your Xbox One’s accessory settings and select “Configure Controller.”
     
   • Move the thumbsticks back and forth to reconfigure the controller.
     
   • Test the joysticks again to see if the issue persists
     
3. Hard Reset Your Xbox:
   
   • Turn off your Xbox using the power button on the console.
     
   • Once it’s completely powered down, unplug the power cord from the back of the console.
     
   • Wait a few seconds, then plug it back in and turn on the Xbox.
     
   • Test the controllers again to see if the right joystick works

Having the same issue. Right joystick only works in test mode and when magnifier is on. I can actually go into the controller settings and “swap sticks” and then the right joystick works but not the left. So clearly the controller is working properly and not damaged or faulty. Feels like its some sort of software/setting issue. Same problem on (4) separate controllers and (2) different xbox consoles….

I powercycled, turned it on with the controller and it still isn't working. I turned that controller off and tried my other one and the right joystick still isn't working on that one either. No clue what's going on. I was using a pretty much brand new controller when this happened. I just got the forza 5 edition controller last week.

I have bought a new controller, tried different batteries in both controllers, reset the console deleting everything and the issue is still there.

The issue started when I downloaded and started to play COD MW5. The game started and I had no functionality in the right joystick. I went to the dashboard and the right joystick still didn’t work. I tested all the buttons on the controller and they all registered, including the right joystick.

I attempted to play Diablo this morning and noticed during game play and the menus, the right joystick did not work. However if I paused the game, I was able to turn my character around by using the right joystick.

I sent my console in for repair about a week ago for the same exact issue. I get it back this past Monday and issue is still there. They didn’t send me a refurbish unit because I recorded my serial number before I shipped it off and it’s the same console. I called Microsoft to see what exactly the issue was and nobody will tell you.

This is horrible to have a game system that cost this much money for not even a month and already having issues.

Hello, my xbox 360 controller's right joystick isn't working properly. When I turn left it is fine but when I turn right it slows down. Sometimes it does a superslow right turn. So when im playing I sometimes constantly have to turn left to get to places.
What's wrong with it?
