    Rewards not recognizing my gold membership


    I was just browsing the rewards website, and I looked at at the percentage I get back on my purchases. I' haven't been receiving the gold status benefits in a very long time, even though I am a gold member. I've only been receiving half the points I'm supposed
    to. Can you fix this??

    Promotional subscriptions are not eligible for Rewards, as stated in our FAQ:

    —My Xbox Live Rewards account is not recognizing my Xbox Live Gold membership. What should I do?

    Xbox Live Rewards can only recognize paid monthly or yearly standard, non-promotional Xbox Live Gold memberships. If you have a different type of membership, we may not be able to recognize you as an Xbox Live Rewards Gold member.

    We see that you have been receiving Gold benefits ever since you resumed your subscription for a full month, back in May. There was a brief period from November 2016 - April 2017 where you were not receiving Gold payback due to you canceling your last subscription
    in November 2016, and starting a new one midway through April. We even see this reported on your MyRewards page, like your latest Credits from MyVIP:

    After looking at your purchases, it looks like you may be unaware of how MyVIP works as well. Keep in mind that pre-orders and game consumables are not eligible for MyVIP, as stated in the FAQ.

    What content can I earn a % back on purchases for?

    Normally, most purchases for Xbox 360 and Xbox One from the Xbox Store qualify towards your MyVIP Star Rank and % back on purchases, including full Games on Demand titles (excluding game pre-orders), arcade games, indie games, game add-ons, game Season Passes,
    movies, TV shows, TV seasons, themes and avatar items. In-game consumables, Xbox Live Gold memberships, subscriptions like EA Access and Xbox Game Pass, Groove Music Passes, Microsoft Movies & TV Season Passes, and the purchase or redemption of Microsoft Points
    or Xbox Gift Cards, still do not qualify.

    After reviewing your account, your Gold subscription for the last three months was a promotional, discounted subscription. As mentioned in the FAQ, promotional subscriptions are not eligible for Rewards:

    We see that you are not receiving Gold Status this month due to your subscription being a promotional Gold subscription for 1 month. Promotional subscriptions are not eligible for Rewards, so your free 1 month is not eligible. From our FAQ:

    Will remaining Live Gold Trial days be added to a new gold subscription and can I get Reward points with a trial?

    As per the Xbox Live Rewards FAQ, trial memberships may not be eligible for Xbox Live Rewards. See here: "Xbox Live Rewards can only recognize paid monthly or yearly standard, non-promotional Xbox Live Gold memberships. If you have a different type of membership,
    we may not be able to recognize you as an Xbox Live Rewards Gold member."

    Purchasing an Xbox Live subscription while on a trial SHOULD add the remaining days of the trial to your subscription. I'm not 100% certain on that though.
