    Rewards Credits Not Being Deposited, Account Needs Updating


    You know, if support made a sticky post specifically addressing this issue with accounts needing updating that are actually up to date, you would have significantly fewer posts to sort through. Updates on progress from time to time would be nice as well.
    As far as any of us can tell you might as well be saying, "the check's in the mail" when it really isn't. I know that I have stopped purchasing from Microsoft Store (with minor exceptions) specifically because of this issue. That means over $300 in games over
    the last few months have gone elsewhere instead of Microsoft. When the issue is fixed I will begin buying again.

    Account needs updating?

    My xbox live rewards account says that my account needs updating. I'm not sure why. Ive purchased numerous games in the past month with no problem and my credit card is current. If you could correct the problem so I can have my reward points deposited into
    my xbox live account. Thank you

    Since you have been automatically scheduled for a deposit due to being over 5000 Credits, there is no need for you to request an early deposit, so that button has been removed. From the FAQ on Vault Credits:





    I claimed Rewards Credits from the vault. When will I receive them?

    If you claim Rewards Credits from the MyVIP Vault, they should appear as pending in your account within 96 hours. Once they are pending in your account, the normal deposit process kicks in. Generally if you have over 5,000 Rewards Credits pending in your
    account in the first half of any given month, that amount will be converted to your local currency and deposited into your Microsoft account on or around the 30th of that same month. If the Credits show as pending in the second half of the month, that amount
    will be deposited into your Microsoft account on or around the 15th of the next month.


    Please note you need at least 5,000 Rewards Credits pending to automatically trigger a deposit, though you can request a deposit for the next scheduled date as long as you have 1,000 Credits pending. Also, if you have ongoing issues with us depositing
    into your account, such as your account not matching up with your billing location, you might want to consider choosing a different prize from the vault, as we won’t be able to deliver your Rewards Credits until the deposit issue is resolved.

    Your deposit is being prevented due to a mismatch between your Brazilian Rewards Account region and your US Microsoft Account region. When you register into the Rewards program, we create a Rewards account based on your Microsoft
    Account region at the time of registration. Since your Rewards Account is a separate entity from your Microsoft Account, migrating your Microsoft Account region will not also change your Rewards Account region. Therefore, when your Rewards Account attempts
    a deposit in one regional currency, it cannot complete when your Microsoft Account is of a differing currency.

    However, this issue can be fixed by heading over to the Microsoft Commerce page at (https://commerce.microsoft.com) to update your Microsoft account to match your Xbox Live Rewards location. Also, it would be
    too early for your Vault Credits to be deposited. From the FAQ on Vault Credits:

    Credits are scheduled for deposit based on when you get to at least 5,000 credits pending. If you get to 5,000 between the 15th and 30th, they are deposited by the 15th of the next month. If you get to 5,000 between the 1st and 15th, they are deposited by
    the 30th of the month. So if your credits were pending early in December, they will be deposited on the 29th.

    If you're getting a message on the Rewards site that your account needs attention, then you would need to post in the Xbox Rewards Questions forum so support can check your account.
