    Rewards app keeps asking me to change my locale


    I am a UK user, locale settings are set as UK user, have tried switching to a different locale (xbox settings) and changed back to UK, deleted rewards app and installed again, reset router, turned everything off and restarted in 30 second intervals from xbox to router, waited for steadylights and full connection to the Web but still my rewards app is saying when I start it is saying

    update your consoles location

    Go to System >Settings >System > Language & location to match it to your current location

    I use octaplus 500mb broadband and downloading is up in the higher end bracket of 300mbps usually (wifi), the system let's me play games includimg multilayer, I just can't start the rewards app

    I'm having the same issue. Tried ALL the things that were suggested. I've written to Microsoft Rewards Support five separate times and have not received any responses, even though they are supposed to reply within 24 hours.

    In my case, the the Microsoft App on Xbox asks me to change my locale, even though the settings are correct (I am in Canada and my location and language settings are all set to Canada/English. It either won't allow me to open the app at all, or at other times, the app will open but I am not able to earn or redeem points.

    On the Microsoft Rewards Dashboard via browser, every other day I get an "Oops! Looks like you are on the go: Microsoft Rewards offers are available in one country/region each day." (see the attachment for reference)

    This is now a daily, on-and-off issue, it appears. Yesterday I was able to earn points as per usual, despite the "change your locale" message on Xbox and some trouble turning in rewards on some Xbox Game Pass quests, and there was no oops message on browser, things appeared to work as normal. Then today, I get the "oops" message and all the activities are greyed out. This of course means that my streak will once again be broken.

    The bottom line here is that I've done everything I'm supposed to do on my side. My console is set to the right region. I'm not using a VPN. I've done several power cycles on my Xbox, I've cleared the cache on console and in my browsers multiple times. I've tried tethering my Xbox to my cellphone's network to see if that would get around the problem, and while it tends to get me into the Xbox Game Pass App when the app isn't behaving on my Gigabit network, it doesn't actually solve the problem.

    Something on Microsoft's side appears to believe that for some reason I am not in Canada, and whatever this problem is stemming from, it's not something that I can fix on my side, because I've already tried everything, even a full console reset back to factory. I've used different browsers, different devices (mobile phone, different computers). The result is the same. Microsoft Rewards needs to fix this, but of course, they are not doing anything about it, and don't even have enough respect for their customers to RESPOND to inquiries, at the very least. I've given up trying to get assistance from Microsoft Rewards. Please pass this on to someone at Microsoft support that actually cares, and maybe, just maybe, this issue will finally get fixed for myself and those who are experiencing the same issues.

    Thanks for trying. I really appreciate your efforts here. In this case, our best option is for you to contact the Microsoft Rewards team for them to investigate the issue properly on their end and to provide you with other options.
