    Reward stuck at 4 stars


    I took a look at my Rewards Star progress and I'm at 90% 4 stars. I then looked at my spending that ranged from 1/1/17 to 1/15/2018 and have spent $1937.99 before tax that includes all digital games bought on xbox.com. Shouldn't I be at level 5 stars now,
    since the requirement is to spend $1800?

    In the past two years 2016-17 I have spent over 3000 dollars on the Xbox live store and my star rank doesn't seem to be affected why haven't I give up to 5 stars please I'm trying to understand how this rewards works

    Hello CountDeathSkull,

    MyVIP had a recalibration for the last few years. At the end of the year, we place you in your MyVIP rank for the new year based off your eligible spending from the previous year, and set your progress to the default state. This happened in September 2015
    and December 2016. We did not recalibrate this year (December 2017). You can check your current MyVIP level/progress at (Xbox Live Rewards).

    Also, keep in mind that consumables and pre-orders are not eligible for MyVIP:

    What content can I earn a % back on purchases for?

    Normally, most purchases for Xbox 360 and Xbox One from the Xbox Store qualify towards your MyVIP Star Rank and % back on purchases, including full Games on Demand titles (excluding game pre-orders), arcade games, indie games, game add-ons, game Season Passes,
    movies, TV shows, TV seasons, themes and avatar items. In-game consumables, Xbox Live Gold memberships, subscriptions like EA Access and Xbox Game Pass, Groove Music Passes, Microsoft Movies & TV Season Passes, and the purchase or redemption of Microsoft Points
    or Xbox Gift Cards, still do not qualify.

    We see that your progress is accurate based off your current eligible purchases.

    Support will check, but keep in mind as you're adding up purchases, that subscriptions, in-game consumables, and pre-orders do not count towards VIP.

    Looking at the number you report, it looks like you included all your pre-orders (like Cuphead and Mass Effect Andromeda) and consumables (like your VC and Grand Theft Auto card purchases).
