    I pre-ordered Skyrim though the Microsoft store in September and I have yet to receive the 15,000 Microsoft points or have the purchase count towards my star rank. If you could look into this, it would be appreciated. Thank you

    I have pre-ordered Sea of Thieves a few weeks ago and have not received rewards points for the pre-order. Do purchases from the xbox store not count towards rewards?

    Xbox rewards doesn't seem to count any games I buy digitally

    Hello DJKippling,

    We only see two purchases this year. One for Call of Duty, and one for Skyrim. Since your purchase of Call of Duty was a pre-order, it was not eligible for MyVIP, as stated in the FAQ:

    What content can I earn a % back on purchases for?

    Normally, most purchases for Xbox 360 and Xbox One from the Xbox Store qualify towards your MyVIP Star Rank and % back on purchases, including full Games on Demand titles (excluding game pre-orders), arcade games, indie games, game add-ons, game Season Passes,
    movies, TV shows, TV seasons, themes and avatar items. In-game consumables, Xbox Live Gold memberships, subscriptions like EA Access and Xbox Game Pass, Groove Music Passes, Microsoft Movies & TV Season Passes, and the purchase or redemption of Microsoft Points
    or Xbox Gift Cards, still do not qualify.

    Since your purchase of Skyrim was made in another region's currency, it was not eligible for Rewards. You are registered as a British Rewards member. Only GBP purchases are eligible for Rewards.

    Keep in mind that the 15,000 credits should show as pending about 15 business days after the game shipped, so there are still a few days before those can show.

    Purchases from microsoftstore.com do not count towards VIP. Only digital purchases from the Xbox Store are eligible (subscpriptions, in-game consumables, and preorders are not eligible).

    If Pre-orders are excluded, then at what point do those purchases count? If they don't then that would mean that it's actually detrimental to pre-order any game period as far as Xbox rewards is concerned (aside from the slight VIP rank boost).

    Pre-orders do not count towards VIP so it would not have counted towards your VIP boost. Pre-orders will only count for credits or anything if they are part of a specific offer on the site at the time. So your Halo Wars 2 purchase would have counted towards
    your Games on Demand Punchcard. Individual purchases are not shown on your Rewards statement. Only offers you have complete.

    Missing Rewards Credits

    The purchase would have counted towards your Games on Demand punchcard and you would need 2 other eligible purchases in order to complete that offer and receive the credits. There were no offers for preordering just that game digitally. Keep in mind that
    preorders do not count towards VIP.
    The punch card part would make sense and I must have missed that. However, why wouldn't pre-ordering a game and then paying for said game count towards my VIP rank? The game was released early this month. It's still money that I spent on a qualified purchase
    (for which I definitely didn't receive any rewards credits).
