Reward credits not being earned for recent purchases.

I purchased Skyrim Definitive Edition on release day and Battlefield 1 last week and have not received any reward credits for my purchases. I also preordered a digital copy of WWE 2k17 in September and never received any credits for that either. Is there
a problem with my rewards account?

I haven't received Xbox Live Reward credits for purchases in a couple years

I started experiencing problems with my microsoft account after changing the email a couple years ago. Account related emails still went to my old email, and I no longer earned reward credits on any purchase. I also was unable to apply any reward credits
to purchases on my xbox. I was previously able to make one purchase with reward credits before this problem happened. My balance has been around 60,000 for a couple years and has not changed, but I get a monthly reward report each month to an old email (the
report always says zero credits earned).

I have probably spent several thousand USD in the last couple years, and have not received reward credits for any of these purchases.

Are there only credit rewards for certain achievements and purchases on the xbox store? I have earned many, many achievements and purchase a few games on the xbox store, but i have only earned credits for July.

Your purchase of Skyrim Definitive Edition and WWE were pre-orders, which are not eligible for MyVIP payback. They were both applied to the Games on Demand punch card. Regarding your Battlefield 1 purchase, from our FAQ:

When will my MyVIP Rewards Credits be deposited into my Microsoft account?

The total Rewards earned will be calculated at the end of each month. Typically you'll receive your MyVIP earnings in your account by the 15th of the following month, though this is subject to the program's current deposit terms.
Be sure to keep an eye on MyStatement on the MyRewards page to track your progress and watch your Rewards Credits total grow!

We have not yet calculated the month's MyVIP, so it is too early to see the Credits pending.

We see that you recently opted out of our program on December 31st. However, up until that point you were not earning Credits due to being a US Rewards member and making purchases with a non US currency.

1. By finishing the offers located on the MyMissions page at https://rewards.xbox.com/mymissions/ .

-or-

2. For non-offer purchases, you can earn Credits by earning a one star MyVIP level through purchasing at least $300 USD or regional equivalent of eligible content. After you receive your first star you will begin to earn a percentage of your eligible purchases
back as payback Rewards Credit. Pre-orders, in-game consumables, and subscriptions are not eligible for MyVIP.

Since your recent purchases have all been consumables, those are not eligible for MyVIP.

Since you are a zero star member, you do not get payback Credits on your purchases. You can check your current MyVIP level/progress at (https://rewards.xbox.com/myrewards/).
However, your recent purchase of Halo Wars 2, while not eligible for MyVIP payback due to being a pre-order, was eligible for the Games on Demand offer, and awarded one punch. That offer requires three eligible purchases to complete and receive offer completion
Credits.
