    Returning Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 - Core


    I sent the controller off for repair due to a faulty trigger.

    This has now come back, but after just a couple of days, the DPad right button doesn't work at all.

    If I go onto the Microsoft profile page and select the controller to start another return it's now showing as out of warranty with the date listed as the date the other one was returned.

    The controller is still under warranty until the end of December.

    Can someone from the Microsoft team point me in the right direction because...

    1. The returns page wants to charge me £40+ with it saying it's out of warranty

    2. Going through the 'contact us' option always tells me that you can't provide support over chat for this issue.

    So at the moment, I'm stuck with a broken controller you've sent me with no way to send it back.

    Any help will be much appreciated.

    Hi thanks for the reply. I've managed to go through the support section but this time choose the warranty issue instead of the controller and that's for me through to someone now. Thanks for the help.

    I highly suggest you reach out to Microsoft Xbox Support for further hardware escalations as they have the tools and resources to properly investigate this case and possibly create an immediate service order for you. Here's how to contact them:

    For Callback Support:

    > Select Xbox One
    > Select See more options then subscription changes.
    > Select Show Contact options.
    > Select Request a call from support.

    Once they call explain the issue and they will be able to help you. Note that these options regularly change so just keep selecting something that gives a request for a call from support as a contact option.
