Retroactive Rewards Credit for Purchases

I have owned an Xbox One for over a year, maintaining gold membership through that time. I have made roughly $1000 in purchases, including a large number of microtransactions. Thanks to noticing a promotion, I just stumbled across Xbox Live Rewards. I find
it silly and insulting that I can't receive retroactive credit for previous purchases.

Can anyone help with this?

ADDENDUM: Also, why a two day set-up to begin earning rewards? What kind of mess is going on in the back-end to warrant this type of situation? Do you have interns manually syncing the data?

In order to get the credit for the consoles, you also would have needed to purchase them DURING the promotion period in order to receive the rewards points. Reward points for past purchases are not retroactive.

Now why couldn't they have done this with the Witcher promotion that literally started the day the DLC came out?

 

The system does not reward retroactively, that is how it is set up as all the purchases need to be tracked through the program (because not every purchase qualifies, and some purchases require multiple purchases to receive the reward such as pre-order 3
games for 15,000).

So are you telling me a staff member will go through my account and apply retroactive rewards or a staff member will come by to tell me I have no options?

You can only earn Rewards Credits once you're an Xbox Live Rewards member. Once your membership is complete, we'll begin tracking your activity and rewarding you for things like completing missions or tracking your MyVIP progress by making purchases in the
Xbox Store. For full details on the Rewards available, please see the Terms and Conditions.

Therefore your purchases were not eligible for Rewards. Furthermore, it sounds like you may not be aware that game consumables are one of the products not covered by MyVIP, and are only awarded via specific offers:

Normally, most purchases for Xbox 360 and Xbox One from the Xbox Store qualify, including full Games on Demand titles (excluding game pre-orders), arcade games, indie games, game add-ons, game Season Passes, movies, TV shows, TV seasons, themes and avatar
items. In-game consumables, Xbox Live Gold memberships, Groove Music Passes, Microsoft Movies & TV Season Passes, and the purchase or redemption of Microsoft Points or Xbox Gift Cards, still do not qualify.

The two day set-up is to get everything set up and synced on the website. We track purchases from the time of registration.
