Resetting Fortnite email address on xbox

Hello my son deleted his Fortnite account on xbox as he was trying to access his account and couldn't get in so deleted account. The email address that was attached to the account we do not have access to. He has tried to set up a new account on the xbox but it won't allow him to as he doesn't have access to that email address. We have owned this xbox since day 1. Is there any way you are able to help us. He can access it on his Nintendo and his pc but not on the xbox. Email address that keeps popping up on x box device with passcode is not ours. Any ideas what we can do? We factory reset the xbox thinking this might help. But no it didn't. Thank you.

So, as the account still exists, and you and your son don’t recall the email address. You may want to try recovering the account by submitting the account recovery form but using instead a previously linked phone number or previously created Skype username (is not the same as our gamertag)

You might want to also check with both your email provider and epic (fortnite). Even if your email was through MSN that is a different part of Microsoft and you need to go through them to rectify that. Same thing with your sons Fortnite, due to cross play
many people have an account that is not directly linked to their xbox GT, maybe it's Epic that needs to update the email address

It seems like your brother accidentally performed a factory reset on the console. This wipes and resets the Xbox.

Your original Xbox account should be linked to an email address. Log in to your Xbox profile with that email address (and password), and you should be back.

you should be able to reset the password on the blueyonder website for the email address, once that is done logon to accounts.live.com and reset the password for the windows live id, this will send a password reset email to the blueyonder email address
