Resetting edge://flags breaks video playback

I thought the same thing yesterday but unfortunately the episodes wouldn't play at all in the Edge app. It didn't occur to me to try another show or movie so I'll give that a try just to confirm if even in Edge there is a playback issue with this series or Edge just can't play video's from Crave at all.

YouTube intends you to use their app on Xbox, Microsoft edge on Xbox is not a full featured browser, And has a number of segments that can affect security disabled, which can cause issues with video playback sites.

• Edge can be used to watch videos, but it may run into issues with video playback on various websites, depending on whether those websites use outdated web standards.
  
• Websites that host rights-protected content, such as music or videos, may not load when using Edge on your Xbox console. To use these websites and their services, try using Edge on another device.

Not sure if you have an update on this issue, but thought I could give you something that the XB team could test to see what I'm talking about

If you test video playback on Xbox One using the Edge browser pointing to http://tv.emby.media

Then try to play something that should direct play, e.g. an mp4 with h264/aac. It will crash the browser back to the dashboard during playback.

The issue started happening with the creator's update

Hopefully the issue has gotten someone's eye as I've seen several threads related to this issue now from several people when trying to stream using Edge on the XB1

i'm sorry but Microsoft edge on the Xbox is designed mostly for viewing product information. It is intentionally sandboxed to prevent malware, , and often does not support third-party video playback,

I suggest you lobby the site to make an app for Xbox as this is highly unlikely to change. No third party browsers will be allowed on this secure platform.
