    Reseting and cleaning Microsoft Account


    I could not find a proper category, so I am writing here.

    Is it possible to "clean" and "reset" Microsoft account with all its content like Skype, Forum posts and so on by creating Microsoft Account once again? I mean creating one using the same email address as a previous one. I don't want to create a new email
    address since I am using that one for a long time and I want to prepare account solely for the upcoming FS.

    I also don't want to hide my Skype account. I noticed an option "create account anyway" when I typed in the existing email address. Will chosing it overwrite all of my data?

    No problem. You can skip this since we already cleaned the Microsoft Store cache and reset the app.

    Going forward, 2 years will be used when deleting inactive gamertags.

    Currently its 5 years. I'm not sure if that info is true, but if it is, that's what it will affect.

    Just the gamertag.

    Thanks for coming to the forums. If there is a policy change it will be posted in the

    Microsoft service agreement    . You can view the change here on Microsoft account policy for more information. This however does not
    state anything about gamer tags. Just referencing Microsoft accounts. We should wait until Aug 30 to see how the service agreement is updated.
