Reset PC vs Clean install?

when using that option you get the choice to keep all or remove, remove all will take ages too, but it does not touch other drives. i would just reinstall via usb as there is a 50 - 50 chance you could have corrupt files or even stuck malware.

plus it is quicker via usb than doing the reset my pc way, i repair laptops daily as my job and even though we have a system with all manufacturer images for all models i still sometimes use usb to do a test install, most of the time takes about 8 minutes to do, reset my pc can take a lot longer.

You do know that you can do a clean install with the upgrade, right? You do the upgrade which assigns Windows 10 to your PC and then you can make it reinstall itself as a 'clean' version.

From another site: To reset your Windows 10 PC, open the Settings app, select Update & security, select Recovery, and click the “Get started” button under Reset this PC. Select “Remove everything.” This will wipe all your files, so be sure you have backups.

That's the easiest method but there are other ways to put a clean version of Windows 10 on your PC.

I have been having the same issue since having to reformat and do a clean install. None of the tricks on the other questions helped. Clean install again did not help. Clean install was of 1909. Fully updated before installing, even after 2 Clean installs
and still nothing. Stuck myself here. Only account on this PC as well.

If you restarted the PC and still cannot access the Store or Xbox, yet have reset, re-registered, checked System Files (Step 10 of checklist) and all other Repairs including Clean Install, then the only remaining repairs are to Reset the PC as shown here:
