    Reset password


    I'm on my mom's account to report a problem that i have. Today my Xbox 360 arrived, i was without it for more than 1 year so I've forgotten the password. I've tried to put my phone number but for some reason I'm not receiving the verification code even
    with my SMS working and also I'm not so good in memory so I don't remind so well to do the form. What can I do?

    Hey Lucas,

    In order to get back into your gaming we recommend you head over to our
    Account Recovery     page. There you will be given instructions on how to reset your password and ultimately access your profile on your 360.

    If the account has Two Step authentication then it's possible you'd need to use an App Password to log into the Xbox 360. Can you take a

    look at the steps here     and try that, see if that grants you access?

    Like I've said, I'm bad with memory like when it's says about old passwords I just remember one, with ID Xbox, I don't have because the one now is new and so on, if you have any idea to make me receive a SMS I'm going to be thankful

    Hello Lucas

    Its all good if you don't remember passwords, Just put two that you might of thought it was. The main issue is you want to make sure name, birthdate, are correct. Also when you get asked if you ever bought any of these say yes then xbox if you ever bought
    a subscription it will then ask for your gamertag and xbox console id which you will need from the console you was last on if it is one you have go to Settings>system settings>console settings> it will be under console info. Doing the

    Account recovery form     is the only way to recover your account or change password.

    You can try if Microsoft Technical Support helps. But if not, you will have to create a new Microsoft account.

    Only way to recover account is the account recovery form even support will send them to that. I have been thru this with my sons account.

    If you can sign into the Yahoo email address on Yahoo then there should be no problem with getting a reset link sent to it for the Windows Live side of things. Check all spam, thrash and junk folders just in case.

    Send the reset link by following the Forgotten Password strings here... www.login.live.com

    If you cant sign into Yahoo mail then you need to sort that first!

    (i.e., CA for Canada, GB for Great Britain, et al.)



    Click on Request A Call and type in a few lines explaining your issue

    and you will get called back quicker than if you waited in queue on hold.

    both these profiles are now on the console. i just download the new one (mighty squash) to the console so i can delete it. should i do that. i dont want this new one but. so do i delete it our give it a new email
