Reset microsoft account password, and now I can't log in

Hi there Leaf welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. Yes! I had this issue before and this is how I solved it!

You need to create another account. Once you make the account, you should use the new account to login and select “forgot password.”

Choosing the “forgot password” option will send you a link to fill out some questions and information so Microsoft can verify that is your account, then you need to wait for Microsoft to contact you for more assistance and the recover your account!

This means that you should reset your password in association with your Microsoft account. Instead of logging in, go to the "I can't access my account" and follow on screen instructions to reset it. If you need any help feel free to ask again.

Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. We understand that your brother's password is not being accepted when he logs in to his account. We suggest
resetting the password on the Microsoft account. Once the password has been reset, your brother should be able to log in to his account. Be sure to let us know the results!

I just tried this and I was able to reset my password for my old account but when I try to log in I'm still told the password is wrong. I have tried resetting the password 3 times now...
